A major disruption is hitting international shipping between Thailand and the United States. Thailand Post has officially announced that starting <\/span>22 August 2025<\/b>, all <\/span>international postal services and items bound for the USA are suspended until further notice<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>

This sudden move comes after the U.S. President Donald J. Trump signed an executive order on <\/span>30 July 2025<\/b>, removing the <\/span>De Minimis duty exemption<\/span><\/i> for all countries. That means every package entering the USA will now face duties and fees. The new regulation takes effect on <\/span>29 August 2025<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>

Because of this, Thailand Post\u2019s transportation partners in the U.S. can no longer accept normal postal shipments. Any items already accepted but unable to be forwarded will be returned to sen<\/span>ders with a full refund.<\/span><\/p>

What This Means for Shippers and Businesses<\/b><\/h2>

For thousands of Thai businesses, exporters, and even families sending parcels to loved ones in America, this is a serious problem. From clothing sellers and handicraft shops to food exporters and e-commerce stores, many rely on affordable postal routes to the USA.<\/span><\/p>

Without warning, these routes are now cut off.<\/span><\/p>

Thailand Post has apologized for the inconvenience and promised to coordinate with partners to restore services \u201cas soon as possible\u201d. But no clear date has been given for when normal shipments will resume.<\/span><\/p>
