Sea Freight from Thailand
FCL and LCL ocean freight from Laem Chabang and Bangkok Port to over 60 destination ports. LCL starts at 1 CBM for boxes and pallets; we can prepare export pallets from cartons at Hua Hin or Bangkok. Full containers from about $720 by lane, with export clearance done in-house.
Who this is for
- Importers moving 1 CBM or more of commercial cargo
- Furniture, machinery and bulk-goods buyers where transit time is secondary to cost
Who it is not for
- Cargo under 1 CBM: air or parcel services beat LCL minimums
How it works
- 1
Send cargo volume, weight, commodity and destination port
- 2
Bring cartons to Hua Hin or Bangkok for export pallet preparation when moving to LCL
- 3
Receive FCL and LCL options on one quote; use the FCL vs LCL tool for volume guidance
- 4
We book, collect or receive at CFS, and clear export customs
- 5
Sail; documents released against payment terms you chose
What it costs
FCL (full container load) means you book a whole 20ft or 40ft container for your cargo only.
LCL (less than container load) is shared-container sea freight from 1 CBM. If you are shipping boxes or pallets that do not fill a container, this is usually what you need. Thai Nexus can prepare export pallets from cartons at intake. Quote on request.

Operator execution rules
These rules apply to every sea freight quote and booking. Indicative rates are not a guarantee without a scoped quote.
- 14-day rate locks max
Do not guarantee these rates past 14 days. Carrier war surcharges are floating weekly.
- UAE high-risk clause
TH to AE requires an explicit floating insurance addendum in client contracts to cover sudden port blockages or diverted discharges at Jebel Ali.
- Working capital squeeze
Ocean lines are demanding shorter payment terms on Middle East and European lanes. We need to collect 100% freight prepayment from clients before container loading.
Contract wording is in our Standard Trading Conditions.
What can go wrong
- Rollover at transshipment: on lanes via Singapore we quote both direct and transship services so you choose the trade-off explicitly
Turnaround
Laem Chabang has weekly direct sailings to Europe, North America and intra-Asia. LCL closes twice weekly on major lanes.

Eligibility notes
Choose FCL or LCL from volume and cargo type. Restricted goods and out-of-gauge cargo need a scoped review first.
