LCL Sea Freight from Thailand
Less-than-container ocean freight for boxes and pallets from 1 CBM. Quoted on request, consolidated at origin CFS, with export clearance included in the Thai Nexus quote structure. We can prepare export pallets from cartons at Hua Hin or Bangkok.
FCL (full container load) means you book a whole 20ft or 40ft container for your cargo only.
LCL (less than container load) is shared-container sea freight from 1 CBM. If you are shipping boxes or pallets that do not fill a container, this is usually what you need. Thai Nexus can prepare export pallets from cartons at intake. Quote on request.

Indicative USD ocean freight only. Rates change with sailing date, space and fuel. Confirm on quote before booking.
Who this is for
- Importers moving 1 CBM or more who do not yet fill a container
- Multi-supplier consolidations that sail together after warehouse staging
Who it is not for
- Cargo under 0.5 CBM: air or parcel services usually beat LCL minimums
How it works
- 1
Send CBM, weight, commodity and destination port or CFS
- 2
Bring cartons to Hua Hin or Bangkok for export pallet preparation when needed
- 3
Receive per-CBM ocean rate plus origin CFS and documentation line items
- 4
Cargo is received at CFS or via our warehouse, then loaded into the shared container
- 5
Sail; destination CFS and delivery are quoted so you see the full landed picture
What it costs
| Mode | Indicative rate (USD) |
|---|---|
| Boxes / pallets by sea (LCL) | On request |
| Minimum charge | 1 CBM on most lanes |
Indicative structure only. Rates change with sailing date, space and fuel. Destination CFS and delivery quoted per lane.
Operator execution rules
These rules apply to every sea freight quote and booking. Indicative rates are not a guarantee without a scoped quote.
- 14-day rate locks max
Do not guarantee these rates past 14 days. Carrier war surcharges are floating weekly.
- UAE high-risk clause
TH to AE requires an explicit floating insurance addendum in client contracts to cover sudden port blockages or diverted discharges at Jebel Ali.
- Working capital squeeze
Ocean lines are demanding shorter payment terms on Middle East and European lanes. We need to collect 100% freight prepayment from clients before container loading.
Contract wording is in our Standard Trading Conditions.
What can go wrong
- Shared-container delays: LCL waits for CFS cut-off. We publish close dates on major lanes so you can plan.
Turnaround
LCL closes twice weekly on major lanes from Laem Chabang. Transit mirrors the parent sea-freight and lane pages.
Evidence and booking rules
Quotes and eligibility stay on this page. Outcome metrics and facility photos publish only when verified owner evidence is attached.
Quote methodology
LCL quotes show ocean freight plus origin CFS and export clearance. Destination CFS and delivery are listed separately.
Eligibility notes
Starts at 1 CBM minimum on most lanes. Below roughly 0.5 CBM, air or parcel often beats LCL.
Facility photos, licences and consented case studies stay empty until supplied. See the operations evidence library.
